MK5 R32 Engine rattling when shut off

Anyone know why the engine is rattling when shut off? And when the car is starting to accelerate, the engine start to rattle as well. i found out from the internet, that its maybe the fly wheel. Any otai here can share their knowledge or experience regarding this matter.

Maybe it's coil pack.Especially when u start to accelerate.

Unfortunately i dont have any regular workshop, the car just arrived last month, and i already changed the coil pack whilst i was in the UK last year. I just went to VW Service Centre Balakong last month for 90k service, but they dont mentioned any problem with the car esp engine/coil pack.

Any recommended workshop pls?

actually the r32 rarely has a coilpack issue AFAIK.

1. Zeurosense - look for Mike. He has a VR6 Corrado so technically same engine as the R32
2. Clovertech - these boys fix Alfa... enuff said
3. Imola motorsports - they were pioneers for Audis performance so kinda same platform

The rest I am not too sure if they have any experience with the R32 but that's on top of my head

There are a few out there too been around for a while managing VAG platforms, but they are not here and you can check the workshop list here contributed by the members.....

Rattle can be engine knocking/pinging when you accelerate.

Vibration can be a lot of various factors

as far as i concern, there's no vibration. im not sure whether im missed on that one, if there is any, there must be a slight vibration because i didnt realized when im accelerating. i found it a bit funny because the rattling noise becoming less when the speed is between 200-250kph but I found it really annoying when it gets from 100 to 200 (feel like driving a pickup lorry ), but i wont maintain that speed for long (normally less than 15mins).

Im not sure whether this infos might help you in narrowing down the problem. Anyway, thanks so much for your concern.
